Nelly Kim
Nelly Kim, violinist, joined the New York City Ballet Orchestra in 2005. Previously she was a member of the New World Symphony, under the direction of Michael Tilson-Thomas, serving as one of the orchestra's rotating concertmasters. She has performed as concertmaster at several music festivals including Aspen, Spoleto USA, and Tanglewood Music Center, where she was the recipient of the Pierre Mayer Award.
Nelly has been a featured soloist in her home state of Washington with the Seattle Philharmonic, Port Angeles Symphony, Seattle Youth Symphony, and Tacoma Youth Symphony. As an enthusiast of chamber music Nelly performs with various groups and has participated in the chamber music festivals Musicorda, Icicle Creek, and Lilienfeld Festival in Austria.
Nelly Kim is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, where she received both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Music Performance. Nelly is married to New York City Ballet bassist, Grey Fulmer.
