 Jiye Lee showed great promise as a violinist at a very young age when she was a prize winner at the Youth Korea Times National Competition at the age of 6. Her early studies included work with Prof. Nam Yun Kim and the pre-college division of the Korea National University of the Arts where she was awarded a certificate before going on to the Seoul Arts High School, twice earning the Excellent Violinist Award. Jiye then went on to study as an honor student at the National University of the Arts where she earned her Bachelor of Music Degree as well as an Artist Diploma. After graduation, she moved to the United States where she earned a Master of Music degree and a Professional Studies Certificate at the Manhattan School of Music.

 In addition to her awards at Seoul Arts High School, Jiye was a winner of the Music Journal competition, first prize winner at the Music Chun-choo competition, first prize winner of the college/general public division of Korean Chamber Orchestra Competition, IMA Music Award (Ishikawa Music Academy), second prize winner of the 46th Dong-A Music Competition, Silver prize winner of the 19th KBS&KEPCO Music Competition, Henri Marteau international violin competition finalist, and was a prize winner of the Lillian Fuchs chamber competition. 

 Performances in Korea include the Korean Soloists, Seoul Chamber Orchestra and the KBS Symphony Orchestra. In Europe, she performed with the Kammerorchestra Der Wiener Symphoniker at Shloss Orth, Vienna and the Slovensky Rozhlas Velce Koncertes studio in Bratislava, Slovakia. As a soloist, Jiye performed recitals on the KNUA violin series and the KUMHO young artist series. She also served as concertmaster in the 45th and 48th KNUA Symphony Orchestra concert.

 Professionally, she was a member of the Austin Symphony Orchestra and was a semi-finalist for a position with the New York Philharmonic. She has been a member of the New York City Ballet Orchestra at Lincoln Center since 2016.
